In terms of music Chicago is most closely associated with Delta blues migrating north and alt-rock bands just like the Smashing Pumpkins. Chicago Recording Company is one of the bigger studios in Chicago with two different locations offering some ten different rooms to record in. The Rax Trax Studio is found on a quiet street in a stand-alone building providing musician and notable acts like Jurassic 5, OK GO plus the Neptunes a distraction free environment for recording. The instruments you will find in the studio includes the guitars, basses, amps, keyboards and other gears available for use with no extra charges. There are two studios in Rax Trax and each of which 24 track capable given Pro Tools HD.
To never be confused with Rax Trax is Ape Trax, that is a relaxed, full-service studio, located in Chicago itself. Ape Trax is one of the more affordable recording studios in Chicago but is still well equipped and easy to work in. Ape Trax doesn’t attract the top names that Gravity or CRC do but what it lacks in celebrity prestige it makes up for in affordable functionality. The studio uses technology augmented by a solid analog front-end to help independent and emerging artists capture the most effective possible version of their sound for the least cost.
